Vessel Energy Requirement Prediction from Acceleration Stage Towing Tests on Scale Models

چکیده
Abstract One of the most crucial tasks for naval architects is computing energy required to meet ship’s operational needs. When predicting a requirements, series hull resistance tests on scale model vessel carried out in constant speed stages, while acceleration stage measurements are ignored. Another important factor seakeeping analysis hydrodynamic added mass. The second law dynamics states that all this valuable information, is, dependence vessel’s and mass, accessible from just one towing test done up maximum speed. Therefore, stage, often overlooked traditional experiments, can be source information. For reason, work aims generalise Froude’s scaling procedure full-scale vessels accelerated tests.

FEASIBILITY OF PSO-ANFIS-PSO AND GA-ANFIS-GA MODELS IN PREDICTION OF PEAK GROUND ACCELERATION
In the present study, two new hybrid approaches are proposed for predicting peak ground acceleration (PGA) parameter. The proposed approaches are based on the combinations of Adaptive Neuro-Fuzzy System (ANFIS) with Genetic Algorithm (GA), and with Particle Swarm Optimization (PSO). In these approaches, the PSO and GA algorithms are employed to enhance the accuracy of ANFIS model. To develop hy...
متن کاملCosmological Acceleration from Energy Influx
We discuss the cosmological evolution of a 3-brane Universe in the presence of energy influx from the bulk. We show that this influx can lead to accelerated expansion on the brane, depending on the equations of state of the bulk and brane matter. The absorption of non-relativistic bulk matter by the brane at an increasing rate leads to a small positive acceleration parameter during the era of m...
متن کاملEffect of elastic-cord towing on the kinematics of the acceleration phase of sprinting.
We studied the specificity of elastic-cord towing by measuring selected kinematics of the acceleration phase of sprinting. Nine collegiate sprinters ran two 20-m maximal sprints (MSs) and towed sprints (TSs) that were recorded on high-speed video (180 Hz). Sagittal plane kinematics of a 4-segment model of the right side of the body were digitized for a complete stride at the 15-m point for the ...
متن کاملStringent restriction from the growth of large-scale structure on apparent acceleration in inhomogeneous cosmological models.
Probes of cosmic expansion constitute the main basis for arguments to support or refute a possible apparent acceleration due to different expansion rates in the Universe as described by inhomogeneous cosmological models. We present in this Letter a separate argument based on results from an analysis of the growth rate of large-scale structure in the Universe as modeled by the inhomogeneous cosm...
متن کاملThe acute effects of heavy sled towing on subsequent sprint acceleration performance
Objectives: The purpose of this study was to assess the practical use of heavy sled towing and its acute implications on subsequent sprint acceleration performance. Design and Methods: Eight healthy male varsity team sport athletes (age: 21.8 ± 1.8years, height: 185.5 ± 5.0cm, weight: 88.8 ± 15.7kg, 15m sprint time: 2.66 ± 0.13s) performed sprints under three separate weighted sled towing condi...
